Those that are familiar with the Palmer legacy know that he had two major passions outside of his love for golf. The first? The place that became his home and the backdrop for many of his most notorious wins – Palm Springs. When we started bouncing ideas off the wall for this year’s collection, it was a no brainer that this would have to be one of the inspirations!

With that in mind, the 1973 Arnold Palmer Umbrella came to life. Tying together the retro aesthetic of the desert and a colorful palette that matches the King’s bright personality, the 1973 offers a fun way for fans to stay protected while enjoying a day out on the course. It’s available in both our customer-favorite 68” Golf and the uber-convenient Collapsible styles. 

The name is derived from Palmer’s unforgettable victory at the Bob Hope Desert Classic at the Bermuda Dunes in 1973. Little did we know, the iconic match, at which he achieved the triumph in the pouring rain (fitting, right?), would be his 62nd and last win of his long and legendary PGA Tour career. 

Along with the 1973 umbrella, we’re launching another new design that we believe Palmer himself would especially enjoy. Drawing inspiration from his other passion in life – flying planes – the High Flyer Arnold Palmer Umbrella is taking off to be one of our best sellers yet. With a creative yet streamlined pattern, the High Flyer is a nod to one of his record-breaking trips in his plane. 

Both of these designs will be available for purchase June 1, 2023, just in time to keep you cool during the summer’s heat.
